Below are important deadlines for the August 11th Primary!
Tuesday, July 22nd
Last day to register to vote online or by mail for the August 11th primary
Sunday, July 26th
Deadline to sign up as a poll observer for the August 11th primary
Tuesday, July 28th
First day of Early Vote in Person (EVIP)
To find your nearest Early Vote in Person location, please go to wisdems.org/vote, myvote.wi.gov, or your municipal clerk’s website
Thursday, August 6th at 5pm
Deadline to request an absentee ballot online or by mail
There is NO guarantee that you will receive your ballot in time if you request it at the deadline, so we encourage you to request your absentee ballot NOW!!!
Tuesday, August 4th
Recommended deadline to mail in your absentee ballot so it will be received by your clerk in time for Election Day
Friday, August 7th
Last day of Early Vote in Person (EVIP), depending on your municipality

Election Day
Polls open from 7am-8pm
SAME DAY VOTER REGISTRATION
8pm - deadline to get your absentee ballot to your polling place, clerk’s office, or central count location (if applicable). Any ballot received after this deadline WILL NOT BE COUNTED

We are required to confirm Democratic poll workers every two years.
RETURNING Poll Workers - Please CLICK HERE to confirm you are again willing to be a Democratic Poll Worker in 2026-2027.
NEW to Poll Working - You can sign up anytime during this 2 year cycle. Sign up to become a poll worker or a poll observer for the 2026-2027 elections!
Poll Workers and poll observers are essential to the voting process and protecting small-d democracy. It also provides an opportunity for you to serve your community and to get to know your neighbors. Come learn how you can advocate for voting rights in your community as a poll worker!

Make sure to plan your voting day (where will you vote? Have you looked at the ballot?) and let a friend know if you’ll need a ride.
Remember: All employers are required to give “up to three successive hours to vote each election day” in Wisconsin, no matter the size of the business.

The Preventative Cure program is a proactive voter protection initiative designed to reduce absentee ballot rejection rates by identifying and contacting voters whose ballots were previously rejected or who may need additional support in successfully voting by mail. Through personalized outreach, trained callers provide reminders, education, and assistance to help voters correctly complete and return their absentee ballots before issues arise.
Hotline/Ballot Cure Volunteer -Are you interested in being a resource for voters for the August primary and the November general election? Want to help absentee voters cure their mail-in ballots so that their votes will count?

Helping reactivate returning poll observers
Serving as a secondary point of contact for new observers
Confirming poll observer trainings
Checking in with observers on Election Day
