January 25, 2020 - Community Conversations - at Menomonie Public Library - Documentary "Pumped Dry"
Location: Menomonie Public Library
600 Wolske Bay Rd, Menomonie, WI 54751

On January 25, Steve Hogseth of Menomonie will be showing the documentary “Pumped Dry.”  We are rapidly depleting our ground water around the earth.  This documentary shows problems with loss of ground water in India, Kansas, Morocco, Peru, and California.  Our ground water at one time looked like a vast resource.  Now, with unfettered use, wells must be drilled deeper and deeper to access the remaining water in Aquifers.  Industry and large agribusiness use the water and dry up the wells in entire communities.  Please join us in the viewing this film and the discussion about groundwater at the Menomonie Public Library from 1 to 3 PM on Saturday, January 25.  The public is invited - bring family or a friend.  Lorene Vedder
