Saturday, October 3, 2026. Parade starts at 10 am; lineup by 9:30 Promote EAU CLAIRE COUNTY DEMOCRATS & DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES AS WE CELEBRATE UW-EC'S HOMECOMING by walking, riding, skating, or biking with us in the Parade.
This year’s Homecoming theme is Eau So Golden. Think vintage, disco, and 70s—records and vinyl, funky 70s colors, disco balls, boas, tie-dye, peace signs, and anything that makes you think of the golden era of disco.
ATTIRE: Wear your disco gear if you have it, or wear DEM candidate shirts, or ECC DEM T-shirts. (We have LOTS of BLUE ECCD shirts in the Dem Resource Center. Stop in and get yours in time for the parade.) We will be decorating Jeff's truck with ECCD banners and candidate signs.
SIGNS: Carry candidate signs or bring signs that state a value, issue, or cause, but keep it upbeat and tasteful. This is UWEC's Homecoming parade, not a protest march, and there will be many children along the route. Consider signs such as " VOTE for Democracy," "Love Your Immigrant Neighbor," “I LOVE Public Education” etc.
Line up for the parade in the Human Sciences and Services Parking Lot, on Water Street across from the Kwik Trip. The parade ends in the Sonnentag Parking Lot.
Roads Closed at 9:30am, including Water St. If arriving at the lineup after 9:30am, plan to enter the HSS Parking Lot from 2nd Ave until 9:50am.
