This training is for WisDems Hotline and Ballot Cure training for new and returning volunteers!
This training is for those wanting to get involved in working our voter assistance hotline or curing absentee ballots, but also for returning volunteers who want a refresher on the basics of election law, our programs, and on the technology we utilize. Please note that this is an introductory training and you will have the opportunity to attend trainings specifically on technology and election law (advanced) after this training, but before your shift.
As a hotline volunteer, you will be taking calls from voters, answering their questions, and helping them request or track their absentee ballot, find their polling place, contact their clerk, and more. As a ballot cure volunteer you will be calling voters whose ballots have been rejected, returned, or never delivered to them.
This training is mandatory for all NEW 2026 hotline volunteers. Upon completion you will be given access to sign up for volunteer shifts for the August 2026 election.
