The Law is Our King
Karen and I stand at the courthouse (Federal Building, downtown Eau Claire) most Wednesday afternoons and have for nearly a year. Our primary task is to make brief meaningful eye contact and connection with passing drivers and occupants of passing cars. Often these quick connections result with returned smiles and a V sign, thumbs up, waves, or other gestures of support. Each quick momentary interaction provides mutual strong, positive reinforcement that that we are not alone in our desire to protect democracy and uphold genuine moral and constitutional values. My sign reads, “The Law is Our King.”
