Thrift Sale - Saturday, September 12th

DON'T MISS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSETS, ADD TO THE FABULOUS EAU CLAIRE COUNTY DEMOCRAT THRIFT SALE.

To make this year's sale more manageable, we have decided that the following types of items WILL be accepted:

Cleaning things out?  Please save your lightly worn items, specialty items and furniture.  Here are things that are popular: 

  • jewelry

  • artwork, art supplies, crafting

  • garden tools, including outdoor furniture, camping and fishing equipment

  • children’s clothing, cleaned, toys, children’s furniture

  • Toys/bikes/games

  • furniture—needs to be lightweight and movable such as tables, chairs, bookcases, UW student desirable (No Cribs)

  • sporting goods—bikes, fishing, team memorabilia, etc.

  • plants newly potted

  • household items---kitchen, linens, baskets, etc., funky stuff

  • backpacks

  • tools in general

  • children’s books only - no encyclopedia sets or adult books

  • vinyl records, CDs, DVDs

  • gently used quilts

    Rules: We can not accept:
    Adult clothes or books, Holiday items, TVs, Computers, Printers, Stoves, Refrigerators, Freezers, Other large appliances. No shoes, random glassware or dishes. Electronics cords, Mattresses,Kids car seats, Undergarments,Dirty, smelly or unusable items.

    Items that are not sold will be donated to Hope Gospel Mission, unless the donor wants the item returned. Each year we earn about $700. All donations, large and small, help us reach this total.

    Other information: Items need to be gently used (or new), clean, and useful.   More details on  drop-off times, and other procedures for the sale will be posted in future Newsletter and weekly ENews.  A schedule of volunteers for before and during the sale is being made.  If you have any questions or want to help, contact Linda Norton at 920-350-5201 or lindanorton08@gmail.com.
